Why Vitalis Light

A thoughtful approach to animal wellbeing, connection and energetic support

A thoughtful approach to wellbeing, connection and energetic support

I created Vitalis Light from a deep belief that our animals deserve to be met with presence, reverence and care. Through Distance Reiki, the Vitalis Light Shared Connection Method™ and thoughtfully created support tools, I offer a grounded approach to the energetic and emotional dimensions of the relationships we share.

My work spans pets and horses, with support for wellbeing, anxiety and sensitivity, travel and separation, grief and end-of-life transitions, and the connections shared between them and the people who love them. I also offer Reiki for people. Deep rest, energetic restoration, and an hour that belongs to you alone.

My Reiki training, experience and lifelong commitment to the wellbeing of animals

My relationship with Reiki began when I received my first attunement while I was managing Horse Haven, the equine rescue department at Best Friends Animal Society, in my early twenties. That experience became the beginning of a lifelong relationship with Reiki and a deeper understanding of the ways animals and people can experience connection, presence and support through energy work.

In 2016, I returned to formal Reiki study and became a Usui Shiki Ryōhō Reiki Master and Animal Reiki Practitioner. Since then, I have continued to deepen my practice through ongoing study of traditional Japanese Usui Reiki RyōHō, along with additional training in animal-focused Reiki, animal hospice and energy healing. I am also a Certified Pet Loss Grief Coach, With Distinction.

My professional memberships include the International Boarding and Pet Services Association (IBPSA), Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement (APLB), International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork / Association of Canine Water Therapy (IAAMB/ACWT) and Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP). I am also professionally insured.

Vitalis Light grew from this long relationship with Reiki, my continued education and my deep respect for animals and the people who love them. My work is grounded in presence, integrity and reverence, with a commitment to continuing to learn and deepen my practice.
